Be uniquely YOU
Be uniquely YOU
What is ‘normal’ anyway? Why are you trying to fit into a box that is created by someone else? Are you seeing your own unique gifts? Everyone has them! As a society we are so scared to step outside of the norms, for fear of being judged, that we curb our creativity, in an effort to fit in! What an absolutely ridiculous idea! Who has created this box? Who gets to decide what is normal or not? Such conformity is born out of fear. A fear that is born out of an innate sense that, “I am not good enough”! I am here to tell you, that notion is absolute garbage, rubbish and lies! Nothing could be further from the truth!
Each one of us is an expression of the Divine. The Divine is choosing to express and experience life through you, as you! There is no one expression which is greater than another. ALL is Divine. What would happen if you were able to embrace your quirks instead of trying to quell them? Have you ever considered the possibility that the world would be a much richer place if you just chose to be your real quirky, weird self rather than conform? What would you do? Would you draw? Would you write? Would you travel? What would you choose to do with your life?
When you are making such a choice, consider this: Are you choosing from a place of fear, or love? The place of fear is riddled with that loud, critical voice which we all have within us. That voice tells us we are not good enough, we will be ridiculed, we will fail. The place of love is much more subtle, and infinitely more quiet than that loud voice of the mind. “Try”, it says. “Dream” it says.
Now I don’t know about you, but I like the sound of the second voice a whole lot more! Who wants to listen to nagging criticism anyway? So the next time your mind gets loud with criticism and self -judgment, stop for a moment and enter the stillness within you. In the stillness, there is no judgment. There is only infinite love. When you start responding from this place of love, life transforms into this beautiful, living, breathing flow.
I have a client whose life transformed in miraculous ways after she stopped listening to that loud, critical voice of the mind, and started listening instead to that loving voice of the heart. She came to me at a point of decision in her life. She longed to study art and become an artist. But the nagging voice of doubt held her back. After the first session, she was able to make the decision to follow her heart and enroll in art school. That was the first step. Today, this amazing woman is a well renowned artist. And she makes money selling her art. She shares her quirky self with the world through her art. And you know what? People love her! She does not let the voice of fear hold her back from fully expressing and sharing her Divine gifts with the world! Her art enriches all those who are touched by it.
She is a textbook example of what happens when you stop allowing old doubts and fear hold you back. Now stop for a moment and think about the ways in which you are allowing doubt and fear to hold you back? The world is just waiting for YOU to show up! The only thing holding you back is, you. Now is the time to release all the old baggage you have been carrying around. It does not serve you. It holds you back from thriving and living the life of your dreams. So my beautiful friends put a muzzle on that loud critical voice of the mind. Stub it out like a cigarette butt. And throw some water on it to make sure it drowns. And after the carnage is over, step into the true flow of life, like Dorothy skipping along the yellow, brick road. And unapologetically be your true, quirky, weird, Divine self, all the way to Oz!
Love, love, love this!!! Thanks for the encouragement 😍😍😍
